Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership & Strategy: Lead the Business Development Department, shaping its vision and strategic goals. Ensure the alignment of the department’s activities with the overall business objectives of the bank.
- Client & Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary liaison between internal clients and the IT development team, translating business needs into technical requirements and ensuring successful delivery.
- Market & Product Development: Identify new business opportunities and innovative payment solutions for our Fintech and e-commerce clients. Develop and implement strategies to expand our service offerings and improve client satisfaction.
- Relationship Building: We cultivate strong relationships with key partners, including Visa, Mastercard, and other strategic alliances, to enhance our service capabilities and market presence.
- Proactive Innovation: Stay ahead of industry trends and proactively propose new ideas and solutions that meet the evolving needs of our clients and the financial technology sector.
- Team Development: Mentor and develop a high-performing team of business development professionals. Foster a collaborative and results-driven culture within the department.
Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years in business development, preferably within the Fintech or financial services sector. Previous experience in a leadership role is highly desirable.
- Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of e-commerce, Fintech, and payment solutions, including direct acquiring and payment processing. Experience with VISA and Mastercard partnerships is a plus.
- Skills: Strong strategic thinking, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills. Ability to translate complex technical requirements into actionable business strategies.
- Leadership: Proven track record of leading and inspiring teams, able to drive innovation and continuous improvement.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field. An MBA or other relevant postgraduate qualification is a plus.
