Voldis Zlobins has been appointed Chief Risk Officer at Magnetiq Bank, bringing over 20 years of experience in banking and finance to the leadership team. Renowned for his expertise in risk management, analysis, and strategic solutions, Zlobins is recognized as a highly professional with a deep understanding of industry challenges and a proven ability to lead risk management processes effectively. His leadership is expected further to enhance the bank’s stability and long-term sustainability.
Zlobins has built his career through various positions in Latvia’s financial institutions, including the past six years at Magnetiq Bank, where he headed the Risk Analysis Department. His extensive experience spans liquidity and market risk management, stress testing, counterparty credit risk analysis, and the preparation of COREP reports.
With a strong foundation in both professional and academic qualifications, Zlobins is well-equipped to make strategic decisions and develop effective risk mitigation strategies. He holds a second-level professional higher education degree in financial management and a Master of Social Sciences in macroeconomics from the University of Latvia.
